The ECE Department grants two graduate degrees:

  • The Master of Science (M.S.), earned through either the Integrated Master's/Bachelor's (IMB) program, the Professional M.S. program, or the Ph.D. program; and,

  • The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

    Kai-Chiang (Alex) Wu and Diana Marculescu Wu, Marculescu Win Best Paper Award at Computer Design Conference

    ECE graduate student Kai-Chiang (Alex) Wu and his Ph.D. advisor, associate professor Diana Marculescu, have won a Best Paper Award in the EDA category at the 2008 IEEE Conference on Computer Design. The paper, titled "Power-Aware Soft Error Hardening via Selective Voltage Scaling," will be presented at the conference, which will be held October 12-15 in California.

    Basil AsSadhan AsSadhan selected as a King Abdullah Scholar

    ECE graduate student Basil AsSadhan was selected as a King Abdullah Scholar with the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. An award ceremony was held on April 5th in Washington, DC to award AsSadhan and 16 other PhD students in the U.S. and Europe. AsSadhan is an advisee of ECE Professor José Moura.

    Get involved!

    Many organizations are available to ECE students who would like to participate in activities with other students or alumni in the department or college. The university offers several groups that promote student involvement in the engineering college.
