November 7, 2007

A paper written by Associate Professor of ECE Radu Marculescu and his former graduate student Jingcao Hu (Ph.D. 2005) has been selected for a book featuring the most influential work over the 10 years of the Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE) conference. The research, entitled "Exploiting the Routing Flexibility for Energy-Performance Aware Mapping of Regular NoC Architectures" was selected for the year 2003; only three papers were chosen from each year.

In 2003, the research won the Best Paper Award in the design methods category at DATE and the honor was officially bestowed during the opening session of DATE in 2004 in Paris, France.

Hu now works for Tabula Inc. in Santa Clara, California.

DATE is Europe's premier conference for IC design tools.
